[This is the most up-to-date information available, and is more complete that will be published in the October issue of the CP.]

Come join Baron Oliver and Baroness Kate as Calafia goes off the edge of the world to celebrate Calafia’s anniversary and their first year as our Baron and Baroness. Our trip will be on 21-22 November 2009.

On Saturday we will be determining champions in heavies, rapier, unarmoured, youth, archery, and thrown weapons. Hound coursing and a sort-of scavenger hunt for the smalls is planned. The Canton of Tanwayour will be a lunch for the populace for $5.

On Sunday a Pas d’Armes is scheduled for the entertainment of both the fighters and spectators alike.

Saturday Schedule:
8:00am - Site opens
9:00am - Gate and Lyst opens
10:00am/TRM’s pleasure - opening court
Lyst closes 15 minutes after court.
12:30pm - Canton of Tanywayour lunch
5:00pm/TRM’s pleasure - closing court
6:30pm - Feast site opens
7:30pm - Feast

Sunday Schedule:
8:00am - Gate opens
10:00am/TRM’s Pleasure - opening court
30 minutes after court - Pas d’Armes
3:00pm/TRM’s pleasure - Final court
4:00pm site closes

Feast: Our feast will be prepared by Pale Maiden, the winners of the 2009 Potrero War Siege Cook-off. Reservations are required. The cost for the feast is $12. For your feasting comfort the feast will be held off site. Feast seating is limited to 100 places. Feast Lcation: Heartland Masonic Lodge, 695 Ballantyne St. El Cajon, CA 92021.

Feast Directions: From El Monte Park: I-8 west. Exit Mollison Ave. Turn left at bottom of ramp. Right onto Madison Ave. First light is Ballantyne - turn right. Heartland Lodge is just past the bridge on the right.

Site: El Monte Park, 15805 El Monte Rd, Lakeside, CA 92040. There are no hook-ups for RVs. San Diego County Parks require that pets (not just dogs) be on a leash that is no more than 6 feet long, be attended at all times.

Site Fees:
Saturday and Sunday - SCA members over 14: $10.00, 6-14, $8.00
Saturday only - SCA members over 14: $7.00, 6-14, $5.00
Sunday only - SCA members over 14: $5.00, 6-14, $3.00
Non-SCA members will pay an additional $3.00 per attendee.

Space Reservations: Geopolitical units that are planning on attending are requested to contact the event stewards with the size of the front of their pavilion, including ropes. Preference will be given to Kingdoms, Baronies, Shires, and Cantons.

Directions from the north, west and south: Take your favourite freeway to Interstate 8. Go east to Lake Jennings Park Road. Turn left at the stop sign at end of the off ramp (you will be driving under the freeway). Drive approximately 2 miles. Turn right onto El Monte Road (there’s a 7-11 at the corner on the right). Drive approximately 5 miles on El Monte Road. The park will be on the right.

Directions from the east: Take your favourite freeway to Interstate 8. Go west to Lake Jennings Park Road. Turn right at the end of the off ramp onto Lake Jennings Road. Drive approximately 2 miles. Turn right onto El Monte Road (there’s a 7-11 at the corner on the right). Drive approximately 5 miles on El Monte Road. The park will be on the right.
